Dr. Poole & Staff

Dr. Alex Poole is a native of Greensboro.  He is a graduate of South East Guilford High School and earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.  He received his Doctorate of Dental Medicine from the Medical University of South Carolina in 1991.  He acheived a residency certificate in general practice from the Ralph Henry Johnson Veterans Administration Medical Center in Charleston, South Carolina.

Dr. Poole is a member of the American Dental Association, the North Carolina State Dental Association, the Academy of General Dentistry, and is past president of the Guilford County Dental Society.

He resides in Greensboro with his wife, Lorie, a clinical pharmacist, and their three sons.  Other than dentistry, Dr. Poole enjoys sports, especially golf.

Laureen began her career in dentistry as a dental assistant 30+ years ago.  She has been with Dr. Poole since 1995. Laureen lives in Greensboro with her husband and daughter.  Laureen is a huge movie buff and NC State fan.   

Bobbi has associate degrees in dental assisting and early childhood education.  She has worked for Dr. Poole for 18 years.  Bobbi is married and has five children and fifteen grandchildren and three great grandchildren.  She enjoys spending her free time  riding Harleys and watching her grandchildren and great grandchildren play.

Leanne, RDH,BA, is a graduate of Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester, Massachusetts and has a degree in Forensic Biology from Guilford College, Greensboro, North Carolina.  She has worked with Dr. Poole for 18 years. She has two sons and three grandchildren.  Leanne loves to read, craft, bake, spend time with her grandchildren and travel.

Linda, RDH, BA, is a graduate of Guilford Technical Community College, Jamestown, North Carolina and holds a Public Health Education Degree from the University of North Carolina in Greensboro.  She has been working in dentistry for 22 years.  Linda is married with two children.  She enjoys family activities, pets, gardening, and travel.
